What Is the USCIS Civics Test?
The USCIS Civics Test is a required part of the naturalization interview for applicants seeking United States citizenship. During the interview, a USCIS officer asks up to 20 civics questions selected from the official 128-question test bank. Applicants must answer at least 12 questions correctly to pass.
How Many Questions Are on the Citizenship Test?
The current USCIS civics test contains 128 official questions covering American government, history, geography, rights, responsibilities, and important national symbols. During the naturalization interview, only a portion of these questions are asked.
